Thrice Brewed
A five-piece folk/rock band (cheaper than Runrig and a lot more fun than Leonard Cohen)
The band plays a mixture of traditional and contemporary tunes and songs that reflect their cultural heritage, that spans both sides of the border.
They can regularly be found playing in folk clubs and village halls and are well known in the north of England following their appearances at Brampton Live, Whitehaven Maritime Festival and St. James' Park, Newcastle.
They do ceilidhs "because they can."
Once described as the band for people who think they don't like ceilidhs.
Instuments include guitars, bass guitar, flute, accordion, keyboards, whistles, harmonica, drums and percussion.
Four vocalists and a caller!

And that includes a caller as well. If you need drums though, you'll need the 6th member. Striding Edge
Grooving Cumbrian roots band
Striding Edge's music, like the fells that inspired it, bursts with colour and contrast. Authentic Lakeland jigs on fiddle and melodeon fuse with frenetic world beat grooves.
Outbreaks of English village brass mingle with soulful northern ballads and rich vocal harmonies.

The Village Green Ceilidh Band

Village Green originated in the village of Greysouthen near Cockermouth in 1996 with musicians who had played in other bands. After some recent changes of line-up we now have an accordion, fiddle, flute and the ever present 12 string rhythm guitar of the caller Stuart.
Playing predominantly British dances with a mix of tunes in various venues and for all sorts of events, we now have quite a bit of expertise. We hope you'll enjoy our traditional sound which is only lightly amplified.
